Testimony: God’s Protection During the Bus Incident

Mercy Ships Testimony: God’s Protection During the Bus Incident

All glory to God, for He alone is my shield and protector.

On 27 November 2025, after completing a night shift, I was summoned by my work to give blood for a chickenpox virus test because one of my patients had been infected. Something about the situation felt wrong from the beginning. The patient had already been treated according to protocol with antibiotics and antiviral medicine and had been released from isolation, yet I was called in. I had even asked my team leader if I could do the test closer to home, and they had said no.

As I prepared to go, there was hesitation and confusion from those coordinating the test. I sensed a strange urgency, a push to make sure I was on the road. I did the test and headed home, unaware of the danger that awaited me.

Just before I was about to get off the bus, with five other passengers nearby, the bus suddenly slammed on its brakes to avoid a cyclist. I was the only one who was thrown violently from the middle of the bus all the way to the front, traveling three or four meters and landing next to the driver. By the grace of God, I only suffered a small knee wound and some bruises. When the driver later reviewed the footage, he was astonished that I had survived such a forceful impact unharmed. Neither the cyclist nor the other passengers were hurt.

I know in my heart that this was not an accident but an attempt on my life. The enemy was displeased with my journey to the Mercy Ship, but God’s angels were with me. He protected me, and I walked away with my life. Every moment of that day was evidence of God’s power, mercy, and protection. To Him alone be all glory, honor, and praise.
